Lonely Lord

(Xhan: Bitch in elvish)Ada:Father Alqua:Swan

Ed’ I’ear ar’ elenea! – By the stars!

Lirimaer: lovely one

Lord Elrond clutched the sketch in his hands staring at his wife’s portrait and sighed. It had been centuries since she had left him and their children, sailing away to the shores of Grey Havens. Even after so many years, Elrond wasn’t sure what he felt most. Anger, disappointment, or abandonment.

“Ada..” Arwen called out gently to her father. She hated to see the pain etched on his face whenever he looked at the drawing of her mother.

His daughter’s soft call of his name returned Elrond to his senses. He placed the picture back in a drawer and turned to gaze upon his beautiful daughter. A smile returning to his face. She and his two sons were his greatest treasures. Even after his wife, Lady Celebrian’s abandonment he could never regret his time with her because it had given him his children which whom he loved more than life itself.

“My daughter I did not hear you enter. What can I do for you?” He asked approaching her and taking her into his arms. He held her close and placed a kiss upon her head.

“I hate her.”

“Who my darling?” Lord Elrond asked, his face scrunched in confusion. His daughter was a kind and gentle soul. He did not think she was even capable of hatred.

“Mother…” Arwen whispered while clutching her father tightly.

Lord Elrond pulled back from his daughter while holding on to her shoulders. He looked at her face. It broke his heart to see the sadness there.

“You don’t truly hate her my dear.” He tried to soothe but it was wrong to say and only enticed her rage.

“Yes, I do!” Arwen shouted taking a step back from her father. She knew she had shocked him. His eyes were wide and his mouth slightly hung open. She never raised her voice. As long as they had been alive, Arwen had never raised her voice in front of her father. “She abandoned you! How can you not hate her for that?! You are the best father in the land and the kindest man I have ever known. You love my brothers and me unconditionally. How can you not hate her for leaving you?!” She continued to shout while tears began rolling down her cheeks.

“Oh, Arwen…. I could never hate your mother for leaving me…” He looked down sadly. He took a deep breath before looking into his daughter’s eyes. He reached up and cupped her face gently while using his thumb to wipe away her tears. “But…. I do feel hatred at times towards her for abandoning you and your brothers. Even if she did not love me enough to remain for me how could she not find the strength to stay for her children. You deserved so much more.” He said softly. He needed to stay strong for her and her brothers, Elrohir and Elladan.

It was at that moment that Arwen’s hatred for her mother grew to tremendous proportions because it was in her father’s words that she realized not only did her mother abandon him but she had broken him too. He truly believed he wasn’t worth anything. His self-esteem was shattered. The great Lord of Rivendalle didn’t think he was worth more.

“You have always taught us kindness and love... Told me that I was beautiful and worth the world but it pains my heart to truly see for the first time that you don’t see yourself the same way. I’ve always tried my best to make you proud because nothing brings me greater happiness than seeing you smile father so forgive me if this disappoints you but if I ever laid eyes upon mother again…. I will slap the ‘Xhan’ straight into VALINOR for making you feel this way!” Arwen shouted while spinning on her heels and storming from her father’s chambers.

Her father stood frozen in shock, never had he heard his daughter raise her voice or use that kind of language before. Elrond had never truly noticed how angry she was about her mother. He looked up to his chamber doors where she had left only to his twin sons standing there looking every bit as surprised as he was. They had clearly never seen their younger sister so angry before either.

“Ummm…” Elrohir started to say… “Did Arwen just threaten to slap mother so hard that she would send her straight to the spirit world?”

Elladan busts out laughing so loudly that he was bent at his waist clutching his stomach tightly.

Elladan's hysterics brought Elrond back to his senses once again. “I did not realize she harbored such ill feelings towards your mother..” He said running his hand through his long black hair.

Both twins stood up straighter and set their eyes on their father.

“We all do father,” Elrohir said.

“We loved her and she left us all like we were filth father,” Elladan said his voice hard but broken. Elrond heard the pain beneath, he knew his children well.

“Your mother never thought that of you my children. She was just never the same after the Orcs attacked her.”

Elrond tried to reason with his boys but even he knew it was a lame excuse. His sons had risked their own lives to rescue their mother only for her to end up turning her back and leave them for another land.

“Don’t make excuses for her!” Elladan shouted while walking up to stand before his father. His brother and he were the same height as their father. Six feet. He stood eye to eye with his father. Open affection was not something elves normally took part in especially the males but he needed his father to open his eyes so Elladan leaned his forehead against his father’s while he placed his hand on the back of Elrond’s head to hold him there. “You once said we deserved better than being left behind father but so did you. You mean everything to us. We love you and would die for you as you would for us. Mother did not deserve you or us if her affections meant so little that she could easily leave our family without looking back. You deserve to be happy father and it’s what we want for you. I pray you find it but you must open your heart up once again.”

When Elladan let go of his father and returned to his brother’s side the twins took one last look at their father. They could see that their words had reached him but it was still as though he thought he deserved the abandonment and it angered them. They knew their father well enough though to see that he was also trying to hold himself together for their benefit, not wanting to show his children how truly heartbroken and lonely he was. Their father always buried his own pain so that he could be strong for them but it was time they returned the favor. He had been doing it for centuries. Elladan turned and left knowing his brother was right behind him.

They closed their father’s chamber doors on their way out and stood in the hallway for a few minutes to collect themselves. Neither said a word or made a sound. It was after they stood there collecting themselves for several minutes that a broken sob from their father’s chambers reached their ears breaking their hearts.

“I’m with Arwen on this brother. I hate mother for what she did to him.” Elrohir whispered to his brother.

“I to brother. Let’s go find our sister.”

The brothers walked side by side to their sister’s room hoping that’s where she was.

When they stood before her door they knocked, instantly they heard their sister tell them to enter.

The brothers walked in, closing the door behind them. They saw Arwen sitting on her knees before a statue of Hanali Celanil the elven Goddess of love.

“What are you doing sister?” Elrohir asked as he approached her and dropping to his knees next to her. Watching as Elladan did the same on the other side of Arwen.

“I’m tired of seeing father in pain. I know he’s lonely but he would never admit it especially not to us. I don’t know if this will work but father always said to have faith and the Gods would grant our wishes.” Arwen said.

Elladan had a feeling he knew where this was going. “So you are praying to Hanali for father?”

Arwen turned her head to look at her brother. “We all know that mother was not father's True Mate. She would never have been able to hurt him so if she was. I’m going to pray to the Goddess to lead him to his other half. I don’t care if I have to sit upon my knees every night for the next millennia praying but I will not watch him continue to hurt and hate himself. It tears at my soul brothers.” Arwen began to sob.

The brothers moved closer to their sister and bowed their heads before the statue and began to pray with her. Arwen loved her brothers even more for joining her. All three siblings prayed and bowed to the statue all through the night.

They were so focused on their task with their heads down that, they didn’t notice the statue sparkle.

CHAPTER 2

That night when Lord Elrond went to bed, he thought over his children’s words. For so long he thought that perhaps he had been the problem, if only he had been a better husband then Celebrian wouldn’t have left.

What would he do if she ever came back? Could he forgive her?

The more he thought of it he realized the answer was no. Forgiveness was not something he could offer her. Leaving him was one thing but leaving their children was too much. She had gone too far and he could not respect nor love someone who could so easily abandon their children.

He chuckled dryly; it was true he couldn’t love someone like that. He didn’t love her and suspected that he hadn’t in a long time. Too busy blaming himself for all of it that he didn’t even realize the love that was once there was gone now.

The only thing was, could he open his heart to another?

That question ran through his mind on a loop as he drifted off to sleep. The light of the moon shining from his window and casting a glow on his face.

Elrond knew he was asleep and dreaming but for some reason, this dream felt….. more. Almost like one of his visions yet different. Everything was more vivid than his usual dreams. Trees started to form around him, the ground beneath his feet became solid and he could almost feel the wind on his face. Rain poured down on him, at first it went right through him like he was some sort of specter and as he looked at his hands, he suspected that’s what he was. You could see through him.

“What is this place?” He questioned.

A whimper sounded from behind him and he spun on his heel.

“Ed’ I’ear ar’ elenea,” Elrond whispered as he noticed a young woman curled into a ball on the ground, her clothes were soaked through due to the rain falling around them. Her skin already taking on a blue tint.

He kneeled down beside her and gently moved the hair from her face. Her voice was barely a whisper in the wind but still, he could hear her words. “He left…. Doesn’t love me. I’m nothing.”

Elrond clenched his teeth as understanding dawned on him. Some cold-hearted bastard had abandoned her out here in the woods. He could see the pain on her pale face, a pain he knew well. The same he had felt when his wife left him like your very heart was being torn from your chest. The way in which she was left was heartless and cruel. She was probably lost out here, already she shivered and coughed. If she was left here any longer the woman surely would have died. Was he sent here to save her? It did not matter to him if that was the case or not because he would never leave her out here to die. He ripped his cape from his clothes and wrapped it around her for a small amount of warmth.

Elrond lifted the girl up in his arms, surprised as he took on a more solid form than just the spectral one he had moments ago. His eyes ran across his surroundings until he noticed soft footprints and a few broken branches from one direction. Knowing that must be where she had come from, he began walking to retrace the woman’s steps. Hoping that it would lead to her dwelling.

It was almost an hour of walking before his eyes spotted a building up ahead. She had ended up rather deep in the woods. As the home came more into view he couldn’t help but notice it was different than any structure he had ever seen. Not only that but there was a large red metal carriage of some sort outside the home. Perhaps he was in a different world? Or a different time?

These questions would have to wait, the woman in his arms breathing had begun to grow more shallow. Saving her was his priority.

Luckily the door was unlocked and he carried her inside out of the weather. Ignoring all of the unusual objects in the home, Elrond walked to each room until he found the woman's up the stairs. He placed her gently in her bed and pulled the large blanket around her.

Again he kneeled, this time placing his hand on top of her head, and began chanting. A small soft glow came from his hand and seeped into the woman’s skin. Elrond was one of the best healers in all of Middle Earth. As he finished his chant, the woman’s skin began to take on a healthier tone and her breaths became stronger.

Her eyes of the richest honey in spring fluttered open and landed upon his face, her voice still a little hoarse. Tears rolled down her face. “He left me.” She whispered brokenly.

Elrond smiled softly and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. “Than he was a fool lirimaer.”

Her eyes closed once again but this time there was a faint smile on her lips.

He didn’t know what came over him but he couldn’t contain himself from placing a single kiss on her brow. As he checked to make sure she would be alright now, his hands began to become transparent again. It starts with his fingers and moved up his arms spreading across his body until once again he was practically invisible but this time it didn’t stop. He started to fade.

There was no time to wonder what was happening as Lord Elrond suddenly sat up in his bed back in Rivendalle with a gasp. His eyes flying open.

“That was not a dream, nor vision….”

A knock came from his chamber door, “Ada may I come in?”

Lord Elrond rubbed his face with his hands to wipe the sleep from his eyes, “Of course my daughter.”

Arwen entered surprised to see her father still in his bed, normally he was the first person to awaken and usually before the sun even began to paint the sky with color.

“Did I wake you?” Arwen asked with worry.

“Nay, I had awoken a moment before you knocked.” He rubbed his head trying to understand everything that had happened last night.

“Grandmother is here, she’s asking for you.”

Yes of course! Lady Galadriel knew magic better than any. Perhaps she would be able to spread light on the odd occurrence.

“Excellent.” Elrond tossed the covers from himself and hurried to his closet, dressing quickly.

Arwen followed after her father having to almost run to keep up with him, this was out of character for her father who remained calm always.

When Elrond reached the foyer he was thrilled to see his mother and quickly rushed to her side, “Mother, I’m glad you’re here. I require your help.”

Galadriel smiled fondly at her son, “I’m always happy to help you, my son. I had a feeling you would require my assistance soon. The magic in the air lately has been….. active. I sense the Gods are up to something.”

“I wonder if it has anything to do with my dream last night.”

“Dream?”

“Perhaps a vision. I’m not sure mother. It was unlike anything before. So real. I could FEEL the earth below my feet even the wind in my hair.”

Galadriel hummed. “Let us sit and discuss.”

Elrond nodded gratefully and placed his mother’s hand in the crease of his elbow escorting her to the breakfast table.

He sat her to his left as he took his usual seat at the head of the table. Arwen always sat to the right with her brothers on the other side of her.

Lindir, Elrond’s faithful advisor always stood next to his Lord in case he required anything.

Arwen was curious about this vision that seemed to have stressed her father and was the first to ask, “What happened in this vision, Ada?”

Elrond sighed; the whole thing was odd. “I appeared as a specter in the middle of a forest in another world. The very land felt different, I could not sense any elven magic within the earth. A whimper drew my attention and thereupon the ground barely breathing was a woman in the rain, curled tightly within herself.” He clenched his fist, remember the pain written on the woman’s face.

His children noticed immediately the change in their father’s demeanor. It was rare that he ever became angry.

Galadriel furrowed her brows. “Than what happened?”

“I could not leave her there to wither. So I wrapped my cape around her and picked her up. When my skin touched hers I became whole. Like I was really there. Following her tracks, I carried her home while she continued to whisper of being abandoned by the man she loved. He tore her heart in two and left her lost in the woods. It was despicable! If I had not found her she would have died.”

Elrond took a deep breath and rubbed his head to calm himself.

Elladan elbowed his sister and whispered in her ear, “Do you think the goddess has shown him his true mate as we prayed?”

Arwen scowled but whispered back, “Perhaps, I’ve never seen father so upset on someone’s behalf unless it's us. Still…. How does he find her if she’s in another world? Or was it just a dream?”

Elladan wondered the same but stayed quiet wanting to hear the rest.

Arwen cleared her throat and spoke, “Did you manage to get her home?”

“Yes. The home was unlike any I have ever seen only further making me believe it was another world or perhaps the future. I’m not sure. I found her room and placed her in bed after I covered her and of course I healed her. The moment her breathing leveled she opened her eyes but only long enough for tears to fall and to say that he left her.” He sighed.

Galadriel squeezed her son’s hand, “Did you speak to her?”

Elrond smiled softly, “I told her he was a fool.” He chuckled. “Then she fell asleep and I awoke in my bed.”

Galadriel saw the look in his eyes, he was intrigued by this but also worried about the stranger. She sent a knowing look to her grandchildren who were all ‘conveniently’ looking anywhere but at her. She smirked but looked to her son who was staring off in the distance at the memory. “I’m not sure what this means my son but if it happens again just continue on the path. Perhaps it will all come clear over time. She could be important, maybe you are meant to protect her or even help her heal from a pain I know you have felt before. You know there’s always a reason and I sense the Gods have sent you there for a purpose.”

Elrond took his mother’s words to heart; she was always full of wisdom and never wrong. He nodded respectfully to her. “Thank you mother, I shall follow the path. Perhaps the Gods will send me to her again this evening.” He smiled softly and ate his breakfast with his family.

Later Lady Galadriel managed to corner her grandchildren in the garden. “So what did you pray for hmm?” She laughed when all three began to fidget. “Elrohir?” She asked, knowing he would always answer her.

“We only wanted him to find his mate grandmother. He’s hid his loneliness for so long.” Elrohir looked down at the ground.

“Well, I believe you may have received your wish little ones. I sensed a new bond with your father.”

“His mate?”

“Only time will tell my dears. If he stays on course and does not stray then the ending will be full of happiness. Keep an eye on him and be there for him should he need any encouragement. Now it’s time I return to Lorien.”

Arwen, Elrohir, and Elladan hugged their grandmother farewell. They hoped another dream would come tonight for their father.

CHAPTER 3

Bella woke up in the morning feeling better than she expected to. Perhaps it had something to do with her dream? Was it all a dream?

Did Edward really leave her? She must have imagined it all, she smiled. If he had abandoned her then she was sure it would feel like someone had punched a hole in her chest. After all, she loved him with her whole heart, Alice would never have let him leave her in the forest where it wasn’t safe. Emmet would never move away without saying goodbye first. Of course, it was a dream she thought happily.

Than sighed wondering why her imagination had created the tall man clad in gold armor. Still, he was only further proof that she had to have imagined it all. There’s no way someone that beautiful could exist. His beauty had been ethereal and his face was more chiseled in strong lines that carved into utter perfection that made even vampires pale in comparison. The long straight black hair flowed lightly all the way down to his hips. Bella only wished her dream would have continued until she had a name for him. Her brain clearly remembers his deep smooth voice and the warmth of his hand on her face. The kindness he had shown when he wrapped his cloak around her. The stranger hadn’t noticed her eyes fluttering opened and closed while he carried her through the forest to her home. But no matter how hard she tried to open her eyes completely she couldn’t. Bella had been so tired and cold.

She wondered if she would dream of him again tonight then blushed. What was she thinking? She had Edward.

Shaking her head clear of these silly thoughts, Bella stretched then pulled the covers off her to get up but instead, her mouth fell open in a gasp.

“No….”

Still wrapped around her body underneath the blanket was the red cloak she THOUGHT she had dreamed of… but if it was real… Then everything was.

Edward had left her, and in the woods where she got lost. In the rain that had chilled her to the bone and almost killed her. How was she not sick?

Alice had to have seen what Edward had done but she didn’t come to her rescue…

Emmet didn’t say goodbye…

Carlisle and Esme had called her their daughter but had left her behind easily enough while leaving with the others…

Guess she knew which ‘child’ was the least favorite, she thought bitterly.

Than Bella remembered the stranger’s word when she told him she was abandoned.

‘Then he was a fool lirimaer.’

The sound of his voice leaving a warmth deep in her bones that made her shiver.

What did lirimaer mean and what language was it?

Her curiosity got the better of her so Bella logged onto her computer and decided to search the meaning but after an hour of research, she still didn’t know. It didn’t seem to be any language that existed.

Next, she tried to search for the man and yet again was empty-handed. He had to be real though, she had proof! Bella thought as she glanced over to the cloak once again but then again he didn’t look human either. Was he something new? There were only two things she was completely certain of.

First, he had been real.

Second, he wasn’t a vampire.

Then she remember his ears. They had been pointed at the ends like an elf. Were elves real to? Still something didn’t make sense to her and she only hoped that she would see him again and could actually speak to him this time. Maybe he would tell her about elves, she smiled excitedly.

Instead for the moment she decided to focus on what she could and showered than dressed for the day. Her father was already gone to work and it was Saturday so thankfully she didn’t have to go to school. So she hopped in her truck and drove to the Cullen’s house to make sure that everything Edward had told her was in fact true. After all he had also promised to never leave her and look how that turned out.

Her old red truck came to a stop in front of the large mansion practically completely made of glass. She looked throughout the building’s different rooms from the outside and could see that it was in fact empty. Nobody was home and much of the furniture had already been covered in sheets. Instead of the gut-wrenching heart break and betrayal she had expected to feel, she felt utter disappointment at the Cullen’s.

The very people who had taught her that family was supposed to be the most important thing in the world had so easily tossed aside someone they had claimed was family and she felt disappointed in them for breaking their words to her.

Shaking her head with a sigh, Bella backed out of the drive way and started back down the road trying to decide what to do and where to go from here. She just couldn’t go back to the way things were before the Cullen’s, before the stranger clad in gold armor that came to her rescue even before she even knew she needed saving. Nothing was the same and she couldn’t pretend it was. She knew too much about the world now and didn’t fit in with the other humans. Not that she ever felt she did in the first place but it was only worse now.

The stranger had told her that Edward was a fool but perhaps she was the fool for falling for his promises and words of love so easily. A part of her wanted to close her heart off to the rest of the world but she wasn’t going to. It would only make Edward’s betrayal win over her and she still wanted to fall in love someday. This time with the right person and wouldn’t let this bad experience ruin her future with someone else.

CHAPTER 4

Several days passed and still Bella knew nothing about the man that carried her home. She hadn't seen or heard from him again and tried to convince herself it really was a dream but every time she opened her closet there was his cloak to remind her.

School had been awkward with the Cullen's suddenly moving. Rumors started as to why and of course Jessica and Lauren were constantly cornering her to ask what had happened. Jessica had at least asked if Bella was alright after Edward's sudden departure but Lauren insisted that Bella had done something to frighten away the family.

Then of course there was Jacob.... He had started ignoring her completely.

She truly felt alone in the world.

All the anxiety had gotten to her and filtered through her by house stress cleaning. No corner was left untouched by the power of her sponge or bleach.

Even now she was on her hands and knees in her room scrubbing a stain out of a large rug at the foot of her bed. When she leaned a little further the floor beneath her squeaked, one of the floor boards under the rug bending under her weight.

Bella huffed and pulled the rug back to examine it, figuring it just needed a nail to sturdy it but was surprised to find half of a small board partly sticking up. It looked as though someone had removed the corner nails. Instead of fixing it she pulled on the board and it came lose easily enough, her eyes widened when he noticed a box under her floor. Pulling it out she opened it and found all of her pictures with the Cullen's.

That wasn't the most surprising thing though. No, it was the letters. Letters from each of the Cullen's and as she read each one expecting either heartbreak or maybe even that they hadn't truly abandoned her and instead left a way to contact them, she was disappointed. That disappointment quickly turning to anger.

They were all filled with worthless apologies for leaving because they wanted to adhere to Edward's wishes. What about her? What about what she wanted?

Bella shoved everything back in the box than carried it downstairs to her backyard that faced the forest. There was a metal fire pit and she didn't hesitate to use the box's contents to start a fire, squeezing lighter fluid to make the flames burst upwards. She stood there watching everything burn, quietly fuming too distracted to notice the figure that approached through the trees.

“Bella.”

The sound of a voice causing her to turn and spot Laurent standing there.

“Laurent? What are you doing here?”

Laurent took a few steps closer before stopping, his body going rigid.

“My apologies.” He said taking a step back instead.

“What’s wrong?” Bella noticed his golden eyes darken. “Is it my scent?”

Laurent nodded. “I’m still getting used to the animal diet for my mate. I simply forgot how strong your scent is to our kind.”

Bella’s eyes softened. “Sorry.” She said bashfully making him chuckle.

“It is not your fault you smell delicious.”

Bella actually cracked a smile for the first time in days. “Thank you. Feels like I haven’t smiled in a while.”

“Than I am sorry I came to bring you bad news.”

“What do you mean?”

“I only came to warn you that Victoria contacted me. She wants my help getting to you. I have no intention of harming you, throughout the whole James incident meeting you led me to my mate and I’m very grateful.”

“Why would Victoria want me?”

“She wants to kill you for James dying.”

“But I didn’t kill him.”

“I know dear. When a vampire loses their mate they also start to lose their mind. There’s no rationalizing with her now. She wants someone to suffer and you are the easiest target.”

“I see….” Bella sighed. “Thank you for telling me Laurent and congratulations on finding your mate. I’m happy for you.”

Laurent bowed his head slightly in appreciation. “As am I. What will you do now?”

“I’m not sure but…”

A loud growl interrupted their conversation and both noticed a large horse sized brown wolf walk out of the trees across the yard. It’s eyes focused solely on Laurent. It snapped its large teeth together loudly in his direction.

Laurent put his hands up in front of him as a symbol that he meant no harm but the large beast didn’t seem to care as it slowly crept towards the vampire.

“Hold your breath Laurent.” Bella called out as she ran to stand before the man who had come to warn her of Victoria.

Her arms were spread out wide as she took a protective stance in front of him but this only seemed to piss off the wolf further as it growled deep in its chest.

As the beast continued to creep closer, an apparition started to appear between Bella and the wolf. A ghostly outline of a person that became clearer the closer the wolf drew near. Bella’s breath hitched as the ghostly figured started to form gold armor and long black hair.

Her eyes darted to Laurent and the wolf but they didn’t seem to notice what she could see; in fact it was like the world around her began to slow.

The wolf was on a few feet from her now when it suddenly stopped, Laurent frozen in place behind her and the man that had saved her had finally taken form and floated towards her with his eyes focused on the beast and his hand rested on the hilt of his sword.

“What is this creature?”

“How are you here?” Bella whispered at the specter.

His head turned towards her, eyes soft and as kind as she remembered.

“I do not know. Suddenly I felt as though you needed me and I was here.”

Bella dropped her arms to relax at her sides. “But why? Why me?”

Elrond walked to her and placed his hand on her cheek. This time he did not become whole when he touched her skin. “I’m sorry young one that I do not have the answers. This is new to me as well; I only know the Gods seem to send me to you apparently when ever you need me. I will always be here.”

Even though she could see through him, Bella could also feel the warmth radiating from him.

“What is your name?” It was the single most important thing to her at the moment. She needed to know what to call the man who never left her thoughts lately.

“I am Lord Elrond of Rivendalle. May I know your name as well?”

“Bella. Are you in need of my aid lirimaer?”

“No, I think I can handle this. What does that mean? Twice now you have called me that.”

A handsome smile graced his face that made Bella’s heart stutter.

“Lovely one..” He whispered as he faded from view, a blush staining Bella’s cheek.

As he disappeared, the world began to move again and the wolf’s growl grew louder.

As she stared into the beast’s eyes, she knew suddenly what it was. Who it was.

Her spine straightened and confidence filled her veins. She would start becoming stronger right now in this moment.

When the wolf was right in front of her, Bella lifted her hand and slapped it down on the wolf’s snout roughly.

“Jacob, quit your shit.”

Jacob shook his head roughly and took a step back, his growling quieting instantly and Laurent looked at her with wide eyes. “Are you crazy?” The vampire asked.

Bella shrugged. “Probably.”

I'm always looking for inspiration! Have an idea you want to share? Questions? I'd love to hear all of your ideas or help you with your own stories if you've decided to try writing fanfiction yourself.
